![]() An authentic Ruger brass grip frame is worth about $500 by itself so that brings the value of my gun to $1050. Unfortunately, the book value for a 357 OMBH with an aluminum grip frame is about $1000 less than a BH 357 that letters with brass grip frame. It does have the wide trigger, which was only shipped on brass grip frame Blackhawks, SBHs, or Old Army models and it was made in the right time frame (from '71 to '73). ![]() They told me their records still did not indicate a brass grip frame however record keeping was very poor at the time so my gun could indeed be an authentic brass grip frame model. I called customer services and had them check again. it did NOT letter with a brass grip frame. I was very sad when I got my letter from Ruger. ![]() I have a 1972 vintage 357 Mag Blackhawk with a brass grip frame in like new condition with the proper box. To get 100%, you need the proper box (with S/N written in white China marker on the side), wide trigger, and correct manual plus the gun is in unfired condition with virtually no handling marks. ![]() Assuming 98% condition, the BKH-41B (4 5/8" barrel) is worth about $5000. If your gun letters with a "B after the catalog number (ie BKH-41B or BKH-42B) it is worth a handsome sum. 41 Mag Blackhawks with brass grip frames are pretty scarce, only 62 made in 4 5/8" and 160 made in 6 1/2".
